Hello %%First name%%,
As students head back to school for another year, now is a good time to take stock of what you are doing to help them make sound career choices that are a good fit with their skills and interests. Research tells us that people who enjoy their work, typically are more active members of their communities, have better health and are generally happier overall. The most effective approach to career education is a long-term oneHigh-schools and colleges both play an important role in helping students to make "educated decisions" about their future. There are many myths out there about the costs and value of post-secondary education and it is important for all members of the educational system to work collaboratively to provide students with accurate information and to help them compare their options with their passions. EXPLORE the World of Work is a "turn-key" approach to providing students in grades 7 through 12 with a series of learning activities that address these issues. Join me at my next webinar on Wednesday, October 28th to find out how your local school board and college can work together for student success.
